Recently, XCMG large tonnage horizontal directional drilling rig XZ6600 appeared in Nigeria, successfully completed the first drill of Nigeria oil pipeline laying project, set a 27-hour non-stop construction, pipe diameter of 12.75 inches, length of 2640 meters of directional drilling through the achievement, creating a local trenchless industry construction record.

Nigeria is a country in the southeast of West Africa, the climate is hot and rainy, directional drilling needs to cross the sand clay layer, gravel layer, across the Niger River, the construction is more difficult. The XZ6600 is stable and reliable, perfectly overcoming the problem of long-distance crossing of complex terrain, giving full play to the advantages of strong power, accurate control and smooth output, and successfully overcoming engineering difficulties.

XZ6600 horizontal directional drilling rig is a large-tonnage horizontal directional drilling rig independently developed by XCMG. It has fast rotation speed, large torque, large push and pull force, and the maximum drag force can reach 6600kN, which is suitable for large aperture and long distance working conditions.

This project is equipped with XZ6600 horizontal directional drilling rig and XMP2800 mud pump station, mud pump can realize automatic start and stop or one-key idle according to the construction state, greatly saving the amount of mud and reducing the construction cost. In the process of intelligent remote control, flow control, status detection, fault diagnosis, greatly improve work efficiency.

XCMG XZ6600, as a warrior in the trenchless field, has performed well in all major projects and successfully participated in the construction of super projects such as the Dongxing Branch line of Zhongke Refining and Chemical supporting gas transmission pipeline and Sinopec pipeline laying project.
