72-Meter Boom Demonstrates Prowess! XCMG’s Steel Giants Converge at Hannan Yangtze River Bridge
As Wuhan’s 13th Yangtze River crossing and a vital link for the Wuhan Metropolitan Area Ring Expressway, the Hannan Yangtze River Bridge presents formidable concrete construction challenges. This single-span suspension bridge boasts a 1,600-meter main span, eight bidirectional lanes, a 41.5-meter-wide deck, and a total length of 2,846 meters. Facing complex aerial operations and massive concrete pouring requirements, XCMG’s concrete machinery tackled these challenges head-on.
During the critical pouring phase, XCMG’s 72-meter pump truck overcame construction barriers with ease, leveraging its 71.1-meter ultra-long boom and 65.5-meter horizontal reach. Even within dense pier steel frameworks, it delivered concrete with pinpoint accuracy, minimizing repositioning and boosting efficiency by 30%.
When pouring the caisson foundation for the main pier, the third-generation intelligent boom exhibited remarkable stability, maintaining vibration amplitudes of less than 130mm. Amidst fierce river winds, the boom held steady as a monolith, funneling concrete with thread-the-needle precision into reinforced steel structures.
Under sustained high-intensity operation, XCMG’s equipment showcased unparalleled energy efficiency. The synergy between third-generation energy-saving tech and ECO mode optimized fuel consumption, achieving 10%-15% greater efficiency than peers under identical conditions—yielding annual savings of RMB 120,000 (approx. USD 16,500).
From high-capacity transport to millimeter-grade placement, XCMG’s concrete machinery demonstrated full-cycle mastery, fortifying the Hannan Yangtze River Bridge’s foundations and powering China’s infrastructure revolution with "XCMG Strength"!
