After more than one month of intensive construction, XCMG XGC500-I crawler crane successfully put three large-scale coal transportation port cranes into shape at a marine wharf in Bangladesh.

The hoisting task features of large number of components, high installation height and long operation range. The whole operation is affected by natural conditions such as weather and tide. There are many uncertain factors, posing a challenge to the ‘micro motion control’ of the crane. The developer conducted detailed survey, and picked XCMG XGC500-I as a more cost-effective choice comparing with the commonly used Japanese brands.

For this ‘new face’ from China, the developer specially organized a professional technical team in the early stage to conduct a comprehensive ‘physical examination’ on XGC500-I including the lifting weight, amplitude data, power unit parameters and vehicle structure welding quality. Super lift stepless luffing system, on-board program real-time calculation... with a number of significant advantages, XGC500-I successfully won the heart of five inspectors and passed the check.

In construction site, XGC 500-I met the challenge with a super lift heavy boom of 87m and an amplitude of 54m. During the whole hoisting process, XGC500-I stood through wind force of 4-5. It monitored parameters such as the center of gravity, grounding specific pressure and load in real time to ensure safety. With super long arm length and weight holding ability, XGC500-I smoothly installed the core components weighing 50 tons.

‘It's a fantastic workhorse! Thanks to the high lifting capacity, we conquer numerous challenges.  XGC500-I should not be missing on any construction site!’ The Bangladeshi customer said excitedly.

From Padma bridge, Matabare coal-fired power station to Kanapuli River Tunnel, XCMG, as a leading enterprise of construction machinery, continues to provide complete solutions for local infrastructure construction. In the recent GF project, XCMG broke the hoisting record of the largest tonnage crawler crane in Bangladesh. XCMG has become a famous ‘golden card’ made in China.
