On October 10, XCMG and Sinopec Heavy Lift Company successfully signed an agreement for the world's first 14,000-ton ring-mounted crane.

This achievement represents another milestone following the "national heavyweight" XGC88000 crawler crane, marking a new height in China's capability to achieve independence and control over core technologies in the ultra-large lifting equipment sector.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and Party Committee Secretary of both XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, stated that the collaboration between XCMG and Sinopec Heavy Lift has established a new paradigm of synergistic development across "R&D – Manufacturing – Application." This model sets an industry benchmark for the independent innovation and engineering application of major technical equipment, serving as an exemplary case of strong collaboration and synergy within the industrial chain.

Since the joint R&D program was launched in 2015, this crane has successfully overcome two major core technological challenges:

· ​​Electric Direct-Drive Technology:​​ Pioneering its application in this field globally. Extensive testing and optimization have resulted in over 30% overall energy savings and a 25% increase in operational efficiency.

· ​​Structure Adaptable to Multiple Working Conditions:​​ The innovative design meets the requirements of both large and small working radii, achieving true "versatility in one machine" for the first time. This allows for flexible deployment in complex scenarios such as chemical plants and nuclear power construction.

Looking forward, the deployment of the 14,000-ton ring crane is expected to substantially shorten construction cycles for large-scale projects, helping them commence operations earlier and generate returns faster.
