New Benchmark for Green Construction! XCMG XE215EV Electric Excavators Delivered in Batch to New Energy Enterprise
Recently, XCMG delivered a batch of XE215EV pure electric hydraulic excavators to a large-scale new energy material production base in China, marking XCMG's deep integration of new energy equipment in lithium mining core production areas.
This large-scale delivery not only demonstrates the client's high recognition of green construction solutions but also sets a benchmark for carbon reduction and efficiency improvement in the new energy industry chain.
The client, located in Yichun, Jiangxi—known as the "Lithium Capital of the World"—is a lithium carbonate production company under a global new energy battery giant, with an annual output of 30,000 tons of lithium carbonate. The pure electric excavators will primarily be used for handling lithium slag waste in the roasting production line.
"Previously, we relied on traditional fuel-powered equipment for loading operations. In line with national energy conservation and environmental protection requirements, as well as our identity as a new energy enterprise, we decided to upgrade all equipment to pure electric excavators," said the client's representative.
The client emphasized that XCMG's electric excavators align perfectly with their green factory philosophy, particularly in raw material processing, significantly reducing carbon emissions and improving operational environment quality.
In terms of performance, the XE215EV showcases XCMG's strong technical expertise in electrification. To meet the client's high-intensity demand of handling 12 million tons of materials annually, XCMG customized a 528kWh large-capacity liquid-cooled lithium iron phosphate battery system. A full charge supports nearly 8 hours of continuous operation, with dual-gun 500A fast charging capability, reducing recharge time to under 1.6 hours. This tailored design perfectly balances productivity and environmental performance.
The excavator features a 10-inch HD LCD display and an integrated control panel for ease of operation, along with reinforced work devices and a strengthened slewing platform for enhanced structural load capacity.
Traditional fuel-powered equipment in high-dust lithium slag processing environments has long been plagued by exhaust pollution and noise issues. The XE215EV achieves zero emissions and reduces operational noise to 67 decibels, not only minimizing pollution but also creating a healthier and more comfortable working environment for operators.
This delivery sets a pioneering example for zero-carbon closed-loop implementation in China's new energy industry chain and will accelerate the widespread adoption of pure electric construction machinery in the sector.
