XCMG recently achieved another milestone in the Southwest market with the delivery of 100 pure electric tractors to a customer for sand and gravel transportation. This marks the customer’s third purchase of XCMG electric tractors, building on the reliable performance of an existing fleet of 200 units.

Now, our repeat orders are driven by proven operational results,” the customer stated. “Our local conditions—scorching summers, heavy rainfall, and frequent steep, mountainous routes for sand and gravel transport—pose extreme challenges. Yet, XCMG’s pure electric tractors have demonstrated outstanding reliability, maintaining high attendance rates even in 40°C heat.”

Sand and gravel transportation involves heavy loads, frequent climbs, and complex road conditions, placing high demands on vehicle performance. XCMG’s new energy tractors have been specially optimized for such scenarios. Equipped with high-power motors, multi-gear transmissions, and high-torque drive axles, they easily handle mountainous terrain. For soft, muddy surfaces common at worksites, the tractors feature a “Smooth Mode” that intelligently controls wheel-end output to prevent slipping and enhance safety in rainy conditions.

XCMG Auto provides dual support through on-site engineers and data-driven early warnings, ensuring 7×24 rapid response. Additional measures, such as pre-sales inspections and customer training, further optimize the customer experience over the vehicle’s full lifecycle, helping reduce operating costs and boost attendance efficiency.

According to the customer, earlier units in operation have each exceeded 200,000 kilometers with near-zero failures beyond routine maintenance—a level of reliability that translates into tangible economic benefits.

The newly delivered tractors are equipped with XCMG’s self-developed 600-kWh large-capacity LFP battery, significantly extending their range.
