XGL3300-220S Makes a Stunning Debut!
Recently, the "next-generation wind power champion"—XCMG's XGL3300-220S luffing-jib tower crane—achieved a remarkable first victory by successfully installing a 6.25MW wind turbine at a major wind farm in Northeast China. This groundbreaking feat showcases the crane's exceptional capabilities and sets a new benchmark for wind power hoisting.
At the construction site, the XCMG 3300-ton-meter luffing-jib tower crane lifted the 150-ton nacelle to a height of 160 meters with speed, stability, and precision, accomplishing the heavy-duty hoisting in a single, highly efficient operation.
The XGL3300-220S boasts a maximum load capacity of 220 tons and a lifting height exceeding 220 meters, meeting the hoisting demands of 15MW-class wind turbines at heights below 190 meters.
With a maximum allowable wind resistance of Level 6 during operation and Level 10 in non-working conditions, it breaks the conventional rule of "lowering the tower in strong winds," ensuring high load-bearing capacity and superior wind resistance for uninterrupted operation even in harsh weather.
At 220 meters, the crane achieves full-speed hoisting at full load, with a lifting speed of 6 meters per minute and a micro-motion precision of 5 mm/s, enabling millimeter-level accuracy in wind turbine installation while maintaining high efficiency.
Designed for confined workspaces such as Gobi deserts and mountainous terrain, the XGL3300-220S requires only a 30×65m site for assembly and disassembly, overcoming the challenges of distributed wind power projects and solving the problem of ultra-high hoisting in extremely limited spaces.
The crane supports large-component relocation, modular transportation, and block lifting, ensuring fast and efficient disassembly, transfer, and installation. Its freestanding, foundation-free design significantly enhances equipment utilization, reducing costs while boosting performance.
This successful maiden lift marks a critical milestone in our project execution and demonstrates the strength of China's high-end hoisting equipment in the renewable energy sector.
