中通客车成立于1958年，自1971年开始专业生产客车，2000年于深圳成功上市，是国内最早的客车生产企业和客车上市企业之一,2003年，成立聊城中通轻型客车有限公司，为我公司全资子公司。目前，公司拥有总资产150亿元，员工近5000人，厂区面积达934,000平方米，主要生产设备2000台（套），拥有国际领先水平的现代化生产线，具有年产3万辆节能与新能源客车的生产能力，行业内首个获得最新版要求的燃料电池、纯电动及插电式混合动力商用车生产资质。
