XCMG Forms Green Alliance with Dangote Group, Africa's Largest Industrial Conglomerate
XCMG has recently established a landmark strategic partnership by forming a green alliance with the Dangote Group, one of Africa's largest industrial conglomerates.
Leveraging their respective strengths in technology, market presence, and sustainable development philosophy, the two parties will deepen cooperation in areas including the application of green equipment, joint creation of sustainable solutions, technological collaboration, and infrastructure development. XCMG will provide customized solutions to support the Dangote Group’s sustainable development goals and contribute to Africa’s energy transition strategy.
Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, stated, “The strategic collaboration with XCMG is a cornerstone of our long-term vision for achieving sustainable development and operational excellence. By integrating advanced green technologies into our core businesses, we will not only reduce our carbon footprint but also set a benchmark for responsible industrial leadership in Africa.”
Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of XCMG Group and XCMG Machinery, said, “XCMG is honored to join hands with the Dangote Group in advancing Africa’s green industrialization. This partnership is a recognition of XCMG’s strengths in green and intelligent equipment manufacturing. By combining our high-quality resources, we are confident in contributing meaningfully to sustainable development across Africa.”
This strategic alliance builds on a solid foundation of past collaboration. During the construction of the Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest single-train refinery project, XCMG deployed more than 2,000 units of equipment—including cranes, concrete machinery, loaders, and road machinery—and dispatched hundreds of employees to support the project. The scale of equipment involvement, diversity of product categories, and number of personnel set a record for XCMG’s participation in African projects, laying a strong groundwork for this enhanced strategic partnership.
